Apgar Campground is the largest campground within Glacier National Park, located just 2.3 miles from the west entrance, near Apgar Village. The campground is nestled next to Lake McDonald's south side - don't miss the stunning sunsets on its shore!

How to get there?

You can drive to the campground via Camas Road.

Season

The campground operates April 23 through October 3 for the summer season, and November 2 through March 31 for the winter season.

Primitive sites are available from April 1 - May 1, and October 4 - November 2.

Rules and Regulations

Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis, except for group sites, which can be reserved on recreation.gov.

As campground payments are done at a self-serve kiosk, remember to bring cash!

The campground features 194 sites, potable water, restroom facilities, and showers.

There is a Glacier Shuttle Stop near the northwest end of the campground.
