Mount Ritter

Peak12,936 ft37.68938, -119.19903

Mount Ritter is the highest summit in the Ritter Range, and potentially the most distinguished peak in the High Sierra. Composed of notably dark rock, it commands attention with its towering stature and solitary presence. Positioned centrally within the Ritter Range, it shares the landscape with neighboring Banner Peak and the Minarets. The distinct silhouette formed by the Ritter-Banner duo is easily discernible from elevated vantage points stretching far to the north and south within the Sierra Nevada.
