Johnson Peak is located south of the Tuolumne Meadows and features the Johnson Granite Porphyry, which is believed to be the youngest granite rock in the entire Yosemite National Park. Johnson has a fairly easy approach and superb views of Yosemite peaks such as Unicorn Peak, Echo Peaks, Mount Lyell, and Mount Maclure, to name a few.
