Season

The trailhead is open year-round. Portions of Going-To-The-Sun Road may be closed due to weather.

Rules and Regulations

An entrance pass is required to enter Glacier National Park. In addition, tickets are required for each vehicle entering the park via the Going-to-the-Sun Road and Polebridge Entrance Station from May 27 to September 11. Please see our Glacier National Park page for more information.
Backcountry permits are required for overnight camping outside of the park's frontcountry campgrounds.
Fees are charged and non-refundable.
Pets are not allowed on the trails and in the backcountry.
Stock animals are forbidden.
Bicycling is not permitted from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (from June 15 through Labor Day).
